Welcome to Anton's Artisan Cakes! By placing an order, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Ordering and Payment

  • All cakes are priced at $125. Payment must be completed at the time of ordering.

  • All cakes come undecorated. Customization requests (e.g., ingredient adjustments or decoration) may incur additional charges. Anton will contact you to discuss options and pricing.

  • Orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability may vary during peak times like holidays.

Pick-Up and Local Delivery

  • Pick-up is available at 14 Farmhouse Road, Shutesbury, MA, by appointment only.

  • Local delivery is available within a 15-mile radius of Shutesbury, MA, for an additional fee.

  • Anton will contact you within 24 hours of your order to arrange a convenient time and place for pick-up or delivery.

Shipping

  • Cakes are shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2-day delivery).

  • Shipping is primarily available to New England and the Tri-State Area. Customers outside this range should contact Anton directly to discuss potential options.

  • During holiday weeks (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas), delivery times may vary. Customers are encouraged to place orders early to ensure timely arrival.

Eco-Friendly Packaging Policy

  • A $20 packaging deposit is required for all shipped orders.

  • Customers are asked to return the packaging (Styrofoam box, thermal envelope, and cake form) using the included return label.

  • Upon receiving the returned packaging, the $20 deposit will be refunded.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Orders may be canceled up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up, delivery, or shipping date for a full refund.

  • Refunds are not available for orders canceled less than 48 hours in advance or for cakes that have already been shipped or delivered.

  • If a cake arrives damaged or does not meet expectations, please contact Anton within 24 hours to discuss a resolution.

Storage and Serving Instructions

Your cake has been thoughtfully crafted to ensure optimal freshness and enjoyment. Please follow these guidelines:

Storing Your Cake

  • Keep the cake in the freezer to maintain freshness. Cakes can remain fresh for several weeks if stored properly.

  • Ensure your freezer is free from strong odors, as the cake can absorb them over time.

Serving Your Cake

If you’re serving the whole cake:

  1. Once received, freeze the cake for at least 6 hours.

  2. Move it to the refrigerator about 6 hours before serving to allow it to thaw gradually. Adjust this time depending on your fridge's temperature.

  3. Alternatively, take the cake out of the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before slicing. Once sliced, let individual pieces thaw on plates for an additional 15 minutes.

  4. The ideal texture is slightly chilled—creamy, smooth, and full of flavor.

If you’re enjoying it by the slice:

  1. Keep the cake frozen and cut a slice when ready to serve.

  2. Let the slice thaw on a plate for 15–20 minutes before enjoying.

  3. Return the remaining cake to the freezer promptly to preserve freshness.

Cutting the Cake

  • To cut the cake easily, slide it (on its parchment paper) from the springform base onto a cutting board.

  • Slice what you need, then return the cake to the springform base and place it back in the freezer.
